#EndSARS: Hoodlums attack FRSC offices in seven states 

 

 

The Federal Road Safety Corps on Friday said its offices in Abia, Anambra, Delta, Edo, Imo, Lagos and Enugu  have been attacked by hoodlums in the course of the ongoing #EndSARS protests. ‎

The Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, who made this known in a statement, said some of the offices were razed, while others were vandalised and robbed.  ‎

Parts of the statement said, “Upon the escalation of violence upon the country, FRSC formations came under physical attacks resulting in the burning down of offices.

“This includes Operational and other vehicles, damaging of sundry structures and massive looting of valuables of FRSC formations including Drivers license Centres.

“No live of any staff had been lost. A staff sustained an injury at Benin toll gate unit command and currently receiving treatment.

“Some of the items stolen and burnt in Aba South DLC are computers, printers, chairs, tables, Air conditioners, laptops, files, and fans among others.

“Anambra DLC was completely vandalised. Delta State command operation base was affected. Auchi command’s 70-ton tow truck was burnt.

“Imo, Lagos and Enugu were also among the states affected during this Protest.”

The FRSC would continue to respond to road traffic crashes and other emergencies, according to Kazeem. ‎

He disclosed that the Corps Marshal, FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi, had directed that all formations be placed on alert to avert further attacks.
