The French Embassy in Nigeria has scheduled a dialogue on climate change for Lagos.
The dialogue titled: “Are we doing enough in the fight against climate change?” is scheduled for Alliance Française of Lagos on Thursday 6th of May from 2-4pm.
A statement on Tuesday read: “The French Embassy in Nigeria invites all interested stakeholders and citizens of Lagos to participate in a conversation about the fight against climate change in Africa, and how to improve environmental cooperation between Nigeria and France.”
According to the statement, the moderators at the dialogue include Prof Chinedum Nwajiuba, Nigerian Environmental Study/Action Team – Dr Tancrède Voituriez, senior researcher at the CIRAD.
The members of the panel discussion include Muhammad Buhari, Inter Campus Alliance for Sustainable Cities (ICASC), Rachel Ikemeh, South West Niger Delta Project, Amara Nwankpa, Shehu Yar’Adua Foundation, Tosin Kehinde Oshinowo, architect director of the CmDesign Atelier
Africa-France Summit 2021.
The Lagos meeting is one of such to prepare agenda for the New Africa-France Summit in Montpellier, holding in July 2021.
The New Africa-France Summit, which will take place in Montpellier in July 2021, will create a unique opportunity for youths from all over Africa to exchange with the French President Emmanuel Macron, without taboo, about topics engaging France and Africa together such as Climate Change, Innovation, Health, Restitution of cultural Heritage and Contemporary Creativity.
