Gunmen attack Jos community, kidnap four persons‎

Four persons were kidnapped by unknown gunmen during an attack on Bungha community in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

It was gathered that the gunmen robbed a woman whom they accosted on the way and forced her to lead them to the house of the victims, who they whisked away to an unknown destination.

Sources in the area said the kidnappers have contacted family members of their victims and demanded N20m ransom.

The member representing Mangu South in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Bala Fwangje, confirmed the incident on Friday.

Fwangje said, “Yes, four of our people have been kidnapped. I have just arrived Mangu and we don’t know those who perpetrated the act.

“From what I was told, the kidnappers came to the village in the evening around 7pm on Thursday and abducted the victims and are now demanding a ransom before they could release them.”

The lawmaker said the incident has been reported to the security agents.‎
