The Niger Delta Power Holding Company has announced plans to complete four power plants with the capacity to add 2,000 megawatts of electricity to the grid.
The Executive Director, Generation, NDPHC, Kassim Abdullahi, made this known in a statement in Abuja, after inspecting the project sites housing the power plants,
He said the company was making efforts to engage new Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractors to complete the plants and make them available to the national grid.
Kasim Abdullahi explained that the plants were located in Alaoji, Egbema, Omoku and Gbarain, adding that works on the plants which were originally awarded to Rockson Engineering Company Limited had stalled leading to the cancellation of the contracts by NDPHC.
“In the short term, we are going to ensure that for all these power plants that are still undergoing installation; we will engage the right EPCs to make sure we complete them”
