Nigeria records 133 fresh COVID-19 infections

 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 133 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 61, 440 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos State recording 90 cases each while Rivers State trailed with 13 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Sunday October 18, 2020 are contained below:

Kaduna-8
Oyo-6
Ondo-3
Katsina-2
Nasarawa-2
Plateau-1

The release further showed that a total of 56, 611 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,125 deaths so far.
