Nigeria records 179 fresh COVID-19 infections

 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 179 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 60, 834 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos State recording 116 cases each while Anambra State trailed with 20 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Wednesday October 14, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 52, 143 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,116 deaths so far.
