Nigeria records 58 fresh COVID-19 infections

 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 58 new COVID-19 infections in the country, the least to be recorded in several months.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 59, 345 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Plateau State recording 18 cases each while Lagos State trailed with 15 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Sunday October 4, 2020 are contained below:

Ogun-5
Kaduna-4
Edo-3
Ekiti-1
FCT-1
Ondo-1

The release further showed that a total of 50, 768 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,113 deaths so far.
