After about five hours of questioning, former Speaker of the House of Representatives and Leader of the the National Consultative Forum, (NCF), Ghali Umar Na’Abba has been released by the Department of State Services.
The secret police had invited Na’Abba four days after he made critical comments about the government of the President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking during a television interview, Na’Abba, the co-chairman of the newly formed NCFront, categorized Nigeria as a failed state.
He listed unemployment, insecurity, economic hardship as some of the factors that have shown that the present administration had failed.
The former lawmakers had honoured the invitation by the DSS earlier on Monday and after intensive interrogation, he was asked to go later in the evening.
He’s expected to address members of his new political movement at the NCFront Secretariat at Utako, Abuja, later tonight.
