Nigeria records 138 new COVID-19 infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 138 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 53, 865 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Plateau state maintaining its lead for fourth day running with 55 cases, while Lagos state trailed with 15 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Saturday August 30, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 41, 513 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,013 deaths so far.
