Nigeria records 162 new COVID-19 infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 162 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

The country also recorded three additional deaths from the rampaging virus.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 54, 905 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos state leading the pack with 53 cases, while Gombe State trailed with 21 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Saturday September 5, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 42, 922 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,054 deaths so far.
