Nigeria records 189 fresh COVID-19 infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 189 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

The country also recorded one additional death from the rampaging virus.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 57, 145 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos State recording 70 cases while Plateau state trailed with 37 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Saturday September 19, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 48, 431 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,095 deaths so far.
