Kano Govt vows to provide more investment opportunities

The Kano State Government says it would continue to provide more investment opportunities as means of achieving economic transformation.

The State Deputy Governor, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, stated this when he received the new Managing Director of  Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority, Professor Adesoji Adesugba who paid him a courtesy call at his office.

He said the issue of job creation remains the priority of the present administration which could be achieved through investments and other economic transformational agenda introduced by the State.

“Giving room for investment opportunities will remain the priority agenda of Ganduje’s administration, as job creation entails the most basic good governance of any administration” Gawuna revealed.

The Deputy Governor assured that Kano as potential area of investment would continue to partner with the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority to achieve speedy commercial activities in the State.

“With cordial relationship between Kano State Government and the Trade Zone, a lot of progress will be recorded in terms of its assigned responsibilities “.

Earlier, the New Managing Director of the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority, (NEPZA), Professor Adesoji Adesugba, informed the Deputy Governor, that he was in Kano as part of his tour to the Free Trade Zone offices across the country.

Adesugba said Kano been a strategic commercial nerve centre in the Country, is expected to give more support to the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority, to make its programmes fruitful.

“Kano as commercial centre is at the right position to take all the advantages of the free trade zone, hence the need for continuous support and cooperation by this administration, as it has been giving to our predecessors” Adesugba appealed.
